2. Website access and hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you access it, technically necessary information is processed, including your IP address, access date and time, requested files or pages, browser and device details, and connection data. This processing ensures secure, stable and technically correct website operation and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Vercel processes technical and log data as part of its services. Processing may also take place in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Vercel describes appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where necessary, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

For more information, see the Vercel privacy notice and the Vercel Data Processing Addendum.

3. Cookies, consent and Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to analyse website usage (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, possibly involving Google LLC in the US). This tool loads only after your express consent. Without consent, no Google Analytics scripts are loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can use our website without consenting.

After you consent, data such as page views, interactions, technical browser and device information, approximate location and traffic sources may be processed. Google Analytics may use cookies such as “_ga” and “_ga_*” to recognise visits. Our custom event tracking does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or rental enquiry contents to Google Analytics.

The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, Section 25(1) TDDDG. Data may be transferred to countries outside the EEA, including the US. Information about Google's processing is available at Google privacy information.

Your cookie choice is stored locally in your browser and will be requested again after no more than 180 days. You may withdraw or renew consent at any time for future processing using the “Cookie settings” button available on each page. Upon withdrawal, accessible Google Analytics cookies are deleted and the page reloads. This does not affect data lawfully processed beforehand.

We may analyse Google Search Console and Google Analytics reports using the connected analytics service Windsor.ai. Independently of that, Google Analytics collects data on this website only with your consent. Retention of analytics data follows our Google Analytics account settings.

4. Online rental enquiries and database processing

If you use the online rental enquiry form, we process your selected equipment, rental dates, delivery or collection choices, name, contact details, address and message. We need this information to respond to your enquiry, check availability and potentially prepare a rental agreement. Required fields are marked; other information is voluntary. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract). Separate data-protection consent is not required for this purpose.

The form securely transmits the information to our website interface and stores incoming enquiries in the database platform Supabase (Supabase Inc.). Our Supabase project is located in the EU region eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) . Further processing by service providers may take place in operating and supporting these services. Any transfers to third countries and relevant safeguards must be assessed under the privacy documentation agreed with those providers.

To help us process incoming enquiries promptly, our server interface sends a technical notification to the BBS administration app at app.bliesgau-baggerservice.de . The enquiry is subsequently processed in the protected administration app. The public enquiry form does not result in an automatically binding booking or automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

If no contract results from an enquiry, data is retained only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and, where relevant, establish or defend legitimate claims. If a contract follows, applicable statutory retention periods also apply, particularly for accounting and tax records.

5. Displaying our Google Maps reviews

On our reviews page, we use the Google Places API Google Places API to show the overall Google rating, review count and up to five publicly available reviews. These may include publicly displayed profile names, star ratings, review text, relative dates and links to Google profiles or original reviews. Data is retrieved from Google through our own server interface, without loading external Google review widgets or profile pictures. Our website does not permanently store this API content. If the API is unavailable, a dated review count clearly labelled as supplied by the operator may be shown without review text. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in transparent customer information), taking account of the interests of the individuals concerned. Following links to Google Maps is subject to Google's privacy information . The Google Maps Platform terms of service also apply.

6. Contact by phone and email

If you contact us by phone or email, we process the personal data you provide, particularly contact details and the content of your enquiry, to handle your request and, if applicable, initiate or perform a contract. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Providing this information is voluntary. We may be unable to respond without the details necessary to handle your request.

7. Contact via WhatsApp

This website includes links to contact us via WhatsApp. You will only be redirected to WhatsApp or its provider's service if you click such a link. Subsequent processing is subject to that provider's privacy terms, over which I have no complete control.

Using WhatsApp is optional. You can also contact me by phone or email.

8. External links

This website links to external services, particularly Google and WhatsApp. Their respective privacy terms apply when you follow those links. Section 3 explains the consent-based use of Google Analytics.

9. Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. Where statutory retention obligations apply, the data is retained for the required period and then deleted unless another lawful basis justifies continued storage.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable statutory conditions, you have the right to access your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), rectify inaccurate data (Article 16), erase data (Article 17), restrict processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and object to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Article 21).

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Under Article 77 GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe the processing of your personal data violates data-protection law.

The supervisory authority particularly responsible for the controller is:
